Highly Absorbent Dressing with fluid repellent backing

Absorb Plus is a one piece, five layer, highly absorbent dressing with fluid repellent backing. The inner absorbent layers wick exudate away from the wound, reducing the risk of maceration of the surrounding skin. Absorb Plus diffuses the exudate by lateral and vertical wicking which is retained in the core layer. The highly absorbent core quickly absorbs exudate whilst providing protective padding and ventilation to the wound. The fluid-resistant backing also covers the sides of the dressing, thereby preventing leakage and contamination of clothes and bed linen.

Features & Benefits

Design: Absorb Plus two outer layers are made from soft non woven material which provides excellent skin compatibility and exudate permeability. These layers assist in absorption of fluid and in combination with an additional inner third layer, facilitate fluid dispersion into the dressing. The soft, comfortable core combines excellent absorptive capacity, vertical and lateral wicking as well as ventilation whilst the fluid repellent backing provides excellent protection against exudate leakage.
